MASTER OF MINISTRY (M.Min)

Purpose
The Master of Ministry (M.Min) degree is offered to those who already have a baccalaureate degree from an approved institution. The M.Min programme is designed to train students for active ministry in mission field, for the pastoral ministry. Building on a strong foundation of Bible-content course work, student will be equipped by the truth of “rightly divided the word of truth”.

 

Admission Requirements
Applicants must show evidence of God’s calling into full-time Christian Service. A Bachelor’s degree from approved tertiary institution or its equivalent is required for matriculation. Foreign students whose native language is other than English must submit a TOEFL score at least 550.

 

Programme Requirements
Students must complete 52 credits hours of study in prescribed and elective courses. A thesis on an approved topic related to Christian Education is to be presented in the final year. This programme normally requires 4 years of part-time study. Regular report of student involved ministry is required for the study assessment. Bible College graduates admitted into the M.Min programme might be required to repeat courses they had taken at baccalaureate level depending on their undergraduate performance. This will be evaluated on case-by-case basis.  

 

Graduation Requirements
Candidates must earn 52 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Evidence to the faculty of approved Christian character must also be shown. The successful candidate must be present at the graduation service for the conferral of the degree.

MASTER OF DIVINITY (M.Div.)

Study for Master of Divinity includes mastery of a field of knowledge combined with close attention to personal spiritual growth.

 

Purpose
The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree is offered to those who already have a baccalaureate degree from an approved institution. The M.Div. programme is designed to train students for active ministry in mission field, for the pastoral ministry, and for exegetical work in both the Hebrew and Greek Bible. Building on a strong foundation of Bible-content course work, student will be equipped by the truth of “rightly divided the word of truth”.

 

Programme Requirements

The candidate must complete at least 60 credits hours of study in prescribed and elective courses, with proficiency in both Hebrew and Greek. A thesis on an approved theological theme is to be presented in the final year. The programme normally requires 2 years of full-time study. Bible College graduates accepted into the M.Div. programme may be required to repeat the courses they have taken at baccalaureate level depending on their undergraduate performance. This will be evaluated on an individual basis. Courses waived are to be substituted.
