College of Art in English Language Education

 

I. COURSE INTRODUCTION
The program is designed to enable students to undertake academic research on topics related to language structures, language skills, Cambodian-English bilingualism, learning styles, cultural communication, business English, learning theories, teaching methods, and literary approaches which will increase their personal and occupational competency in the English language.

 

II. OBJECTIVES
The Master Program objectives
-To prepare students for Language –related research
-To help students to become well-qualified lecturers of English Literature
-To enable students to become Khmer-English translators (through a number of courses,
such as Translation/ Interpreting (Cambodian-English Bilingualism), Advanced Grammar &
Composition,
  Multi-Cultural Education and Business English)
-To help students to run their own private English school (through the course School
Management  and other courses)

 

III. Duration and Schedule
For LU’s part time M.A program, students will study at least 54 credits. The program will be conducted from Monday to Friday (from 5h 30 to 8h 30).


IV. Entry Criteria
Candidates must hold the following qualification

- Bachelor Degree in related fields from recognized universities

- Student’s Transcripts are preferable.

Entry examination will be conducted to verify the applicant’s qualifications. Only successful candidates are admitted to the program.
